Freddie Highley, age 63, of Bethalto, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at his home.
He was born July 12, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Fred O. and Evelyn (Ott) Highley. Freddie had worked for many years at the American Legion Post in Bethalto.
He is survived by two children, Kristal Erbe of Chesterfield, MO, and Kevin Highley of Bethalto; his long time partner, Sherry Combs of Bethalto; five siblings, Debbie Highley, Ronald Highley, Helen Walker, Roger Binkley, and Jack Binkley; three granddaughters, Lily Highley, Kelsey Erbe, and Lucy Erbe; two special nephews, Brian and Mark Highley; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two siblings, Tom Highley and Vivian Hodge.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the American Legion Post in Bethalto.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral arrangements.
