Cannaisseur Dispensary to Celebrate Grand Opening in Wood River

The Cannaisseur will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and party at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026. Located at 40 E. Ferguson Avenue in Wood River, the dispensary’s leadership and “budtenders” are excited to serve the community and mark their opening with Friday’s festivities.
“The Cannaisseur is a wonderful, friendly neighborhood dispensary,” said Jerry Cerutti, a new budtender on the team. “We’re so excited to bring cannabis to Wood River.”
Following the ribbon-cutting at 3:30 p.m., the Aug. 7 party will include food and drinks from local favorites like Roasterz and Heaterz, as well as a few food trucks. Mean Street Tattoo Shop will be onsite with a flash sale.
Cerutti noted that there will also be plenty of shopping opportunities. The Cannaisseur offers flower, pre-rolls, infused joints, concentrates, edibles, topicals, THC-infused drinks and more. In the days since The Cannaisseur’s soft opening, Cerutti said it’s been a busy and exciting time at the dispensary. She has enjoyed getting to know the Wood River customers. She also expressed her appreciation for Wood River’s leaders and how they have welcomed the dispensary to the community.
“I’m loving the Wood River crowd,” she said. “We’ve had really great support, from City Hall to the Wood River Business Alliance and everybody in between, just from people walking up and down the street curious about what we’re doing. Everybody seems super intrigued, super excited, and we’ve had great support so far.”
Cerutti added that the general manager at The Cannaisseur has “curated quite a fantastic team,” and she is excited to help the community with all their cannabis needs as the dispensary gains traction.
She hopes to welcome many people out to the grand opening party on Aug. 7. It will be a fun day of festivities, but also a chance for the community to learn more about their offerings.
The Cannaisseur is proud to be a part of downtown Wood River, and the team looks forward to serving the community. Cerutti added that this grand opening party is just the beginning of a great legacy for The Cannaisseur.
“I love being a part of The Cannaisseur,” she added. “I can see the start of something really awesome.”
