EDWARDSVILLE - Brandon Wong will continue his tennis career at Illinois Wesleyan University after a high school career at Edwardsville in which he became a four-time letter winner with more than 100 career victories and earned top conference honors.

Wong is a Spencer Homes Male Athlete of the Month.
Wong, a standout for the Edwardsville boys tennis program, was a consistent contributor throughout his career, combining longevity and success on the court. This past season, he earned First Team All-Southwestern Conference honors and won conference championships in both singles and doubles. He also reached the finals at Naperville in 2025.
Edwardsville coach Dave Lipe said Wong played an important role in the program during his four years.
“He had a great win at the state tournament over Mathieu Fosse of Winnetka New Trier (6-1, 6-7 (3), 10-7) and Mathieu was one of the better players in the state,” Coach Lipe said. “He is a fantastic overall athlete and a great player. We are excited for him to play at Illinois Wesleyan University next year.”
Lipe also said Wong “meant so much to the Edwardsville boys tennis program in his four years and was a great leader and competitor.”
Wong’s career includes more than 100 wins, four letters and a series of postseason and conference accomplishments as he prepares for the next step at Illinois Wesleyan.
