EDWARDSVILLE - The Edwardsville Rotary Club has chosen to honor Edwardsville High School student Sebastian Reuter with the Student of the Month Award for September. Sebastian was nominated by Edwardsville High School teacher Rebecca Wilkinson.

Sebastian is the son of Jeri and Jeremy Reuter. Sebastian was the number one chess player at his middle school and is the recipient of an American Legion award.
Outside of school, Sebastian likes to focus on fitness. He also plays the guitar.
Sebastian intends to major in engineering or computer science and hopes to attend the University of Illinois.
The Edwardsville Rotary Club recognizes a student each month, September through April. Each May, Edwardsville High School staff chooses one of the monthly winners to receive the $2,000 Edwardsville EHS Rotary Scholarship. The awards have been given since 1996, and the Edwardsville Rotary Club has given out over $35,000 in scholarships to date.
