EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – State Representative Kevin Schmidt (R-Millstadt) recently hosted his annual Job Fair in East St. Louis, providing community members seeking employment with opportunities to learn more about interview guidance, creating a resume and to speak directly to employers. Schmidt said the event was successful and thanked the employers and everyone who attended.
“Thank you to the local employers and community members for helping to make this event successful,” said Schmidt. “It was great to see job seekers connect with employers to learn more about training programs and career opportunities. Events such as this one help build community connections across the 114th District.”

Schmidt’s Job Fair was hosted at Wyvetter Younge Higher Education Campus in East St. Louis and brought together 50 employers and 150 job seekers. The goal was to connect local job seekers with hiring businesses to help fill open positions.
