DUPO - State Representatives Kevin Schmidt (R-Millstadt) recognized Sugar and Sage Cafe in Dupo as his ‘Business of The Month’ for July. Rep. Schmidt met with the owner Debra Bockrath to present her with an official certificate of recognition from the Illinois House of Representatives.

“This family-owned café prides themselves for their hard work, faith, and commitment to bring people together in the community,” said Schmidt. “Debra and her team have worked hard to grow their business and are excited to celebrate their one-year anniversary next month. The food and service are top notch. I highly recommend this café to everyone in Dupo and nearby towns who want top notch food and service.”

Sugar and Sage is a family-owned café proudly serving locally roasted coffee, fresh baked goods, breakfast and lunch options. Aside from indoor service, they also offer outside catering services, including breakfast options, for special events and host worship and fellowship nights once a month.

Customers say the inviting atmosphere offers a creative kids play area and a comfortable setting for individuals and small groups. The one-year anniversary of Sugar and Sage will take place on August 11, 2026.
