“Small businesses don’t need more red tape, higher costs, and mandates from Springfield. They need government to get out of the way so they can create jobs and keep our local economies moving,” said Senator Plummer. “I’m proud to have earned a 100% voting record from the NFIB, and I will continue fighting for the employers, job creators, and working families who are too often ignored or overburdened by state government.”

Senator Plummer was one of just five state senators to receive a perfect NFIB voting record. He supported legislation to reduce regulations on employers, oppose costly mandates, protect businesses from expanded legal liability, lower compliance burdens, fight higher energy and health insurance costs, and strengthen workforce development opportunities for Illinois job creators.

“Senator Plummer continues to lead on small business issues,” said NFIB Illinois State Director Noah Finley. “Small business owners appreciate his willingness to go to the mat for them and take on the Springfield special interests that keep pushing for higher taxes and more governmental mandates on Main Street businesses.
