EDWARDSVILLE - Running back Jackson Parker rumbled for one touchdown, and quarterback Gunnar Hoffman threw for another in the second quarter as O'Fallon held off a late Edwardsville rally to take a 17-13 week seven football win Friday night, Oct. 2, 2026, at Tiger Stadium.
The win all but ensured the Panthers a spot in the expanded IHSA playoffs with two weeks to go in the regular season.
After a defensive-minded and scoreless first quarter, Parker broke loose for a 35-yard touchdown run that gave O'Fallon a 7-0 lead. Late in the period, Hoffman threw 27 yards to Mason Chamblin, cashing in on an interception to extend the Panther lead to 14-0 at halftime.
At the start of the second half, after a fumbled punt set O'Fallon up at the Edwardsville 10, a 26-yard field goal gave the Panthers a 13-0 lead. The Tigers kept plugging, and got on the board with 8:18 left in regulation on a 17-yard touchdown run by quarterback Dean Williams. With 2:58 left, Williams connected with Harvey Wallace on a six-yard score, but the conversion missed to leave the score 17-13.
O'Fallon then got a key first down to help run out the clock. A Hail Mary attempt by Edwardsville just failed to click, giving O'Fallon the win.
The Panthers are now 4-3, while the Tigers go to 2-5.
