By afternoon, the storm chance fades and the day turns partly sunny, hot and humid. The high will reach about 91. With the humidity, it could feel as hot as 101 at times. Southwest winds continue around 10 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph.

Monday evening stays warm with a mix of sun and clouds early, then partly cloudy skies take over. Rain chances drop off, and the air stays sticky after sunset. Overnight, the low settles near 75 with light south-southwest winds and a quiet finish to the day.

An Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect through Wednesday evening. Heat index values could reach as high as 111 during the warning period, so limit time outside, drink plenty of water and check on neighbors, kids and pets.

The allergy index is high for grass and moderate for mold. Ragweed and tree pollen are low.

Tuesday looks hotter, with a high near 96 and a low around 74. Another round of scattered thunderstorms is possible, and the heat will stay intense through the day.
