MADISON, Ill. — Investigators are renewing their call for photographs and videos from a youth football league championship game at Madison Senior High School to help determine the circumstances surrounding a Nov. 1, 2026, shooting.
The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis is asking anyone who attended the game that evening to submit digital media recorded before, during or immediately after the shooting. Investigators say images captured in the background could provide valuable information, even if the person who took them did not witness the shooting.

“You do not have to have witnessed the shooting or have information about the people involved to help us. If you attended the game and took photographs or videos, we are asking you to upload them. Something captured in the background, a person, a vehicle, or an activity you may not have thought twice about could provide valuable information to our investigators,” said Lt. Andrew Pierson, public information officer for the Major Case Squad.
The FBI’s Springfield office is assisting with digital evidence collection. Photographs, videos and other digital media can be securely uploaded directly to investigators at www.fbi.gov/madisonilshooting.
Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Major Case Squad Command Post at 618-709-7750 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS (8477).
The investigation remains active, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
