GLEN CARBON – A new restaurant is one step closer to being built in Glen Carbon.
Trustees unanimously approved a final site plan for Longhorn Steakhouse in Orchard Town Center at their Aug. 25, 2026 Village Board meeting.

This marks the latest dining option to be added to the development following Chick-fil-A, Olive Garden, Panda Express, Dutch Bros Coffee and Shake Shack.
Village Administrator Jamie Bowden said the Longhorn site plan includes a full-service restaurant located just south of the future Shake Shack site. The new steakhouse will occupy 1.61 acres on Outparcel 11 in Orchard Town Center, with an exact address of 2355 Troy Road in Edwardsville.
The site plan, developed by Architectural Construction Services (ACS) Inc., shows a 5,780 square foot building surrounded by a 122-space parking lot. These include five ADA-accessible parking spaces, four spaces reserved for “to-go” orders and a three-space bicycle rack.
Two entry and exit points are shown in the site plan along TSG drive, including one directly across from an entrance to Dick’s Sporting Goods. The Longhorn Steakhouse site plan does not include a drive-thru.
