Father McGivney Catholic High School’s tennis team received an unexpected lesson in elite competition during practice on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, when four players competing in the Futures Tournament stopped by the court.
The players shared courts with the team, giving McGivney athletes a chance to watch high-level practice and match play up close.

Some of the players included Maximus “Deacon” Dussault of Texas Christian University, Noah Johnston of the University of Georgia, and Nicholas Mekhael of the University of Illinois.
The school said the visit became especially meaningful because of the players’ interactions with student-athletes.
“Beyond the high-level tennis, what made the morning truly memorable was how gracious the players were,” the school said in its post. “They took time to talk with our team, answer questions, and encourage our student-athletes.”
The school described the experience as “an unforgettable learning experience” that offered “a front-row seat to elite tennis and a reminder of the sportsmanship and character that make the game so special. Their appearance made our team's day."
