Jessica Dudley, Madison County Chief County Assessment Officer; Mike Babcock, Madison County Treasurer.

The speakers will explain how property values are assessed, how property tax bills are calculated, and the exemptions that may help homeowners reduce their taxable value. They will also discuss how local property tax dollars are distributed and answer questions to help attendees better understand the property tax system.

"I've seen a lot of discussion about property taxes, and it's clear there are many questions about how the system actually works," said Jennifer Korte. "This seminar is an opportunity for residents to hear directly from the officials who administer the system, learn about exemptions they may qualify for, and get answers to their questions. My goal is to provide factual information that helps homeowners better understand their property taxes."

The seminar is free and open to the public. While everyone is welcome to attend, seating is limited and advance RSVPs are encouraged.
