For his achievements, Eric Bouc is a Student of the Month for Althoff Catholic High School.
Bouc, a senior, has participated in the theater program and choir since his freshman year. He also plays tennis and bowls. It’s a lot of work to balance school and these extracurriculars, but he does so with grace.
Academics are equally important to Bouc. He is a member of the math team and was inducted into the National Honor Society and St. Vincent de Paul Society early in his tenure at the school.
As a member of the theology club, Bouc was honored when he was named an Althoff Catholic Sacristan. This is an incredible recognition and speaks to Bouc’s faith and responsibility.
Outside of school, Bouc works as a soccer referee and does lawn care and handyman work. He is also an altar server at St. Mary’s Church, a Camp Ondessonk counselor, and a Luke 18 Youth Retreat leader.
He enjoys rock-climbing, taking walks with friends, weightlifting, camping, hiking, running, listening to music, working on his truck, and being with his family. He has big plans for life after high school. His teachers and loved ones can’t wait to see him succeed.
“After graduation, I plan on going to college for engineering and I hope to one day work on supersonic commercial aircraft,” he said, adding, “I was the second-ever recipient of the Althoff Catholic Kiersten Schiebel Award, which I had the honor of receiving my freshman year. I was promoted to the rank of Deputy Ranger during my 6 weeks spent at Camp Ondessonk this summer.”
