Emergency Crews Respond to Edwardsville Two-Car Crash

EDWARDSVILLE - The Edwardsville Police and Fire Departments responded just after 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, to a reported traffic incident at State Route 157 and University Park Drive.

One person was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation and treatment of a non-life-threatening injury, according to Cathy A. Hensley, head of communications for the City of Edwardsville.

Both vehicles involved in the incident, a Chevy sedan and a Mazda hatchback, were towed from the scene, Hensley said.
