I will continue to advocate on behalf of our farmers to help ensure they have the funding and resources they needed to feed and fuel our country and our economy.”

Duckworth has been a longtime supporter of agriculture in Illinois. Last Congress, many Illinois priorities were included in the Farm Bill, including provisions that will ensure farmers receive the assistance they need, support Veteran farmers and urban agriculture efforts and create historic investments in land and water conservation. Duckworth has also been an advocate for the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), which supports a $5 billion biofuel industry in Illinois that employs more than 4,000 people, and for recent policy changes to allow drivers to fuel up with gasoline that is blended with up to 15 percent ethanol (E15) throughout the year. Last June, Duckworth introduced the RFS Integrity Act of 2019 to make applications for small refinery exemptions (SRE) public and create more certainty for rural America.
