BUNKER HILL - Carrollton’s boys basketball team outlasted Bunker Hill 57-55 in overtime on Monday night, Feb. 16, 2026, at Bunker Hill, using a late go-ahead basket from Wyatt Ross and a final defensive play by Buddy Holmes to secure the win.
“It was a great game last night of back-and-forth action. Neither team could hold off the other,” Carrollton head coach Tony Rhoades said.

Coach Rhoades said Charlie Stumpf “found Wyatt Ross for the basket to win the game in the closing seconds,” and that Bunker Hill had one last chance before Holmes came up with a key play. “Bunker Hill went in transition with 9 seconds left, and Buddy Holmes picked the ball away to seal the win,” Rhoades said.
Stumpf led Carrollton with 20 points. Coach Rhoades said Stumpf now has 998 career points heading into senior night Wednesday against Brown County. “He hopes to top the 1,000 point mark,” Rhoades said.
Bunker Hill was led by Carter Beck with 19 points. Cole Yates scored 14, and Bryce Yates added 10 points. Bunker Hill, which is 21-7, faces Mt. Olive on Monday, Feb. 23, 2026.
Carter Randolph also scored 15 points for the Hawks. Ross finished with seven points and Holmes added five. Carrollton improved to 15-13.
Carrollton, 15-13, ends its regular season on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at home against Brown County.
