For her hard work, Bella Maue is a Platinum Transportation Student of the Month for Highland High School.

Maue, a senior, has been involved in the school’s Student Council since her freshman year. This year, she is serving on the executive council as the community outreach liaison, which makes her very proud. It’s important to her to represent and advocate for her peers.

She has also danced at Innovative Movement for over 15 years. Over the past four years, she has worked with Highland’s Kids in Christ and Latchkey programs.

Though Maue stays busy with her extracurriculars and volunteerism, she spends any free time she has with her family and friends. She also enjoys reading, listening to music, and painting and is currently taking two art classes.

Maue thanked her mother and teacher Mrs. Wander-Vrell for their continued support throughout her time in high school and beyond. She has big plans for her future, and both women will be cheering her on, as will her other loved ones and teachers.

“After graduation, I plan to go to SWIC for two years to get my gen eds done, then after, I would like to transfer to ISU to study social work,” Maue shared.

Congratulations to Bella for this recognition by Highland High School and Platinum Transportation!
