ALTON - The Alton River Dragons also have added several players for the final few games of the season. The newcomers are infielders Adam Hanan of Mid America, a rising senior first baseman from St. Charles, Missouri, and Mekhi Maclin of St. Charles CC, a rising junior from Florissant, Missouri; outfielder Roenick Selby of St. Louis CC, a rising junior from St. Louis; and pitchers Cam Sievers of Illinois College, a rising junior from Wincester, Illinois, and Dylan Bates of O’Fallon, Missouri, a rising senior from O’Fallon, Missouri.
With the recent additions of players from Illinois College and Mid America Christian, the River Dragons have now had 114 different colleges represented on the roster since the team’s first season in 2021.

Ryan Hartz of Webster enters Wednesday as the only River Dragons player to have appeared in more than 40 games this season. Previous totals of players reaching 40 or more games were seven in 2021, six in 2022, two in 2023, four in 2024 and two in 2025.
Among current players with at least 20 at-bats with runners in scoring position, Mac Floyd of St. Louis CC leads the team with a .318 average. Griffin Kelly of Harper is batting .290 in those situations, and Brandon Gour of Fort Lauderdale is hitting .281.
Floyd also moved up the team’s home run charts with a homer Saturday, giving him six for the season and tying him for fourth on the franchise single-season list. He joins 2024 player Justin Santoyo and 2025 players Trevor Goodwin and Preston Wright. Ahead of him are Erik Broekemeier’s seven in 2024, Broekemeier’s 10 in 2023 and Eddie King Jr.’s 13 in 2022.
On the mound, Hayden Wilson of Columbia College reached 42.1 innings pitched with a five-inning outing Saturday, tying him for the eighth-most innings in a single season in team history. Fifth on that list is Justin Needles with 47.1 innings in 2021. The team record is 64.1 innings, set by Adam Stilts in both 2021 and 2022.
The River Dragons have hit 23 home runs this season. Ten have gone to left field and six to right field. Eleven of the team’s home runs have come in the first three innings, and 14 have been hit with runners on base.
