ALTON — The Alton Memorial Health Services Foundation is thrilled to announce that its annual "Duck Pluckers, Deer Skinners, and Fish Hookers Ball" successfully raised $216,000 during its high-energy event on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Held at the historic Nilo Farms, the community-driven fundraiser brought together outdoor enthusiasts and dedicated supporters to raise vital funds for local medical equipment, including the ongoing mission to secure a new, state-of-the-art ambulance for Alton Memorial Hospital.
The evening was filled with vibrant camaraderie, fundraising auctions, and highly anticipated raffle drawings. Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of local businesses, sponsors, and attendees, this year’s fundraising total marks a monumental milestone for the foundation’s healthcare support services across the region.

A major highlight of the event’s fundraising efforts included the drawing of several premier raffle prizes. The Alton Memorial Health Services Foundation extends its warmest congratulations to this year’s winners:

The favorite auction item every single year at Duck Pluckers is a puppy, generously donated by our long-time sponsors Barry and Gaye Julian alongside Sievers Kennels. This year, this adorable 11-week-old Golden Retriever completely stole the hearts of the Bartels family!
Looking ahead, the foundation has already locked in the date for next year's celebration. The 2027 Duck Pluckers event is officially scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 11, 2027.
