
ALTON — The Alton Amphitheater Commission invites the community to the Alton Food Truck Festival: Route 66 Centennial Celebration on Saturday, August 22, from 4–8 p.m. at the Alton Amphitheater. The event features regional food trucks, local food vendors, live music, family activities, and Route 66-inspired fun. Admission and all activities are free, with food and beverages available for purchase.

Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Mother Road, this year's festival transforms the riverfront into a classic American road trip experience. Guests can explore a wide variety of regional food trucks including a locals pit-stop, a dedicated line-up featuring Alton-area food vendors, while enjoying live music, games and activities for all ages.
Festival attendees can enjoy performances by Shaefor and Simes, challenge themselves on a rock climbing wall, play yard games, and experience the welcoming atmosphere of Alton's riverfront. Whether visitors come for the food, the music, or the family-friendly activities, the festival offers something for everyone.
"The Food Truck Festival has become one of our community's favorite summer traditions, and this year's Route 66 theme makes it even more special," said Abby Haynes, Chair of the Alton Amphitheater Commission. “We’re excited to bring together incredible food, local businesses, live entertainment, and our beautiful riverfront for an evening that captures the spirit of exploration and community."
