For her hard work, Ada Huelskamp is a Platinum Transportation Student of the Month for Highland High School.
Huelskamp, a senior, has been a part of OS Impact, Leo’s Club and the Math Team since her freshman year. She recently joined the Student Council, Junior Optimist Club, Spanish Club, Seeing Green and Future Medical Careers Club, as well.
She plays soccer and tennis. It takes a lot of dedication and responsibility to balance academics and athletics, but Huelskamp makes this look easy. She is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as a Student Ambassador, roles that allow her to represent her classmates and give back.
Outside of school, Huelskamp has worked as a lifeguard, office cleaner, babysitter and petsitter. She is the leader of a Madison County Adopt-A-Highway group.
She enjoys painting, hiking and spending time with her friends. Her art has been recognized at the Schmidt Art Center, where she was a selected artist. Huelskamp has also participated in the SIUE Imagine Nursing Summer Success Academy.
This will serve her well in her career. Huelskamp has big plans for after graduation. As they always do, her teachers and loved ones will be cheering her on.
“I plan on going to college to study nursing,” she shared.
Congratulations to Ada for this recognition by Highland High School and Platinum Transportation!
