For her hard work, Briann Anderson is a Student of the Month for Southwestern High School.
Anderson, a senior, has played varsity volleyball and basketball for four years. She also participates on the varsity track and field team. It takes a lot of responsibility to balance sports and school, but she does so gracefully.
Anderson was recently inducted into the National Honor Society, which requires high grades and many hours of community service. She gives back as a member of the Student Council. She also enjoys attending Spanish Club meetings.
As part of the Student Council, Anderson represents and advocates for her peers. She has the impressive honor of serving as their class president this year, a role to which her classmates appointed her. She also serves as the reporter for National Honor Society.
In her limited free time, Anderson enjoys being outside and hanging out with her friends. She also works as a waitress and plays select basketball.
She knows exactly what she wants to do after graduation. Her loved ones and teachers already know she can do anything she sets her mind to.
“[I plan to] go to a college, play a sport, and get my nursing degree,” she shared. “I’m excited about the future but most importantly enjoying my last year with the best people.”
Congratulations to Briann for this recognition from Southwestern High School!
