By evening, the sun is still strong at first, then conditions ease only slightly after sunset. Skies stay mostly clear, and the breeze backs off as temperatures slowly fall through the 80s. Humidity will keep things sticky, so it may still feel warmer than the air for a while even after dark.

Overnight, the weather stays mainly clear, warm and humid, with a low around 70 and light south winds near 6 mph. There is still almost no chance for rain before Tuesday morning.

A Heat Advisory is in effect from noon Monday through 8 p.m. Friday for parts of the St. Louis metro area, including Madison, St. Clair and Monroe counties in Illinois. Heat index values could reach 105.

The allergy index is high Monday, with ragweed at very high levels and grass also running high.

Tuesday looks just as intense, with a high near 99, a low around 73 and more hot, sunny weather with very little chance of rain.
