GODFREY - Godfrey's Alyssa Marquis, Bachelor of Science, Forensic Psychology, recently graduated from Quincy University this past spring.

Quincy University hosted its 163rd Spring Commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. on May 16, 2026, in Quincy University's Football Stadium. The 2026 spring graduating class is composed of 186 undergraduates and 22 graduate degree recipients.

Brian McGee, PhD, university president, conferred degrees. Sam Banks '76, current member of the Quincy University Board of Trustees, delivered the commencement address. Banks is retired Director and Board Member at Busey Bank in Champaign, Illinois, and former President and CEO of the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club. Michael Hennessy and Carole Hennessy from Chicago, Illinois, were awarded the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humane Letters.

Founded in 1860 by Franciscan friars, Quincy University is a small Catholic university emphasizing the sciences, liberal arts and the professions. Quincy University offers undergraduate, graduate and adult education programs integrating practical experience and Franciscan values. Faculty and advisors work with students to design customized success plans to help them graduate on time, find their passion and prepare them for life. QU is a member of NCAA Division II for intercollegiate athletics.
