DUPO - State Representative Kevin Schmidt (R-Millstadt) continues to donate the legislative pay raise he voted against to local organizations throughout the 114th District to help families in need. This month, he donated a variety of essential food items to the TWIGS Program, which provides free summer lunches to children ages 18 and under in Dupo, East Carondelet, and Cahokia Heights.

“I take pride in donating my legislative pay raise to help people in our communities who are less fortunate,” Schmidt said. “The TWIGS Program provides meals to children who may not have access to lunch during the summer months when school is out. I’m happy to support their efforts and help ensure children don’t have to worry about where their next meal will come from during summer break.”

Through July 29, children ages 18 and under can pick up a free lunch between 11:30 a.m. and noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at the following locations:

  • Dupo Village Park
  • North Dupo Fire Department
  • Dupo High School Cafeteria
  • “MOM’S ON A MISSION”
  • East Carondelet Community Building
  • Huffman School in Cahokia Heights
