JERSEYVILLE — Jersey Community Unit School's Holly Lamer, Grace Russell, Ella Roberts and Maddy Highfill have been named to the Mississippi Valley Conference All-Conference Soccer team. The girls are also Sparklight Female Athletes of the Month.

One of Lamer’s biggest moments of the season came April 17, 2026, when she scored the game-winning goal on a free kick against nearby rival Alton. Lamer was a sophomore this season and will return in 2027.

Russell, one of the team’s captains, also was a captain of the Jersey girls volleyball team last year.

Roberts, also a captain, was strong in goal all season.

Highfill, a striker, was a sophomore this past season and will return in spring 2027 for the Panthers.

“Jersey is proud of you!” the Jersey Community Unit School District administration said.

The future looks bright for Jersey girls soccer with two standouts returning for the 2027 season.
