
GLEN CARBON - Metro East Lutheran's track and field girls posted 69 points as a team in the recent Gateway Conference Meet at Father McGivney Catholic. McGivney won the girls' meet with 181 points, followed by Althoff Catholic (120) and Marquette with 98 points. Maryville Christian had 19 points behind MELHS, and Christ Our Rock had 1 point in the girls' meet.

Zoe Gray of MELHS was eighth in the 100 meters (14.28). Ally Packer was ninth in the 200 meters (30.74).
Moira Krueger of MELHS was fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 1:10.02. She is only a sophomore runner.
Marion Hemmer, a standout all season for MELHS, was sixth in the 800 meters (2:48.74).
MELHS' Lucy Doyle was fourth in the 1,600 (6:03.84).
Doyle was third in the 3,200 (12:45.79). She is also only a sophomore at MELHS.



Kaitlyn Peterson was third in the 100 hurdles (18.06) and fifth in the 300 hurdles (55.99). She was also third in the high jump (4.75 meters).
The 4 x 100 relay was fourth (57.05) with Gray, Maske, McCallister, and Hardage on that team.
The 4 x 200 relay of Packer, Hardage, Gray, and Maske was fourth (2:02.13).
One of the top MELHS finishes of the day was in the 4 x 800 relay with Hemmer, Abigail Ayer, Lily Walloch, and Krueger finishing second (12:04.65).
Caitlyn Hardage was sixth in the discus (19.31), followed by Tessla McCallister in seventh (18.16). McCallister was third in the long jump (4.38 meters). Tessla is only a freshman for MELHS. McCallister was second in the triple jump (9.41 meters).
