In the message to Liberty families, Edwards said the school was aware of the post and circulating rumors and that officials were working “together to thoroughly investigate this matter.” She did not specify what was contained in the post or where it appeared.

“At this time, we do not have information indicating a credible threat to the school, staff, or students,” Edwards wrote. She added that the school would continue to review information and that officials would take “all student reports and safety concerns seriously.”

Edwards thanked students and families who raised concerns and urged the community to follow the “See Something, Say Something” principle by reporting issues directly to school officials or law enforcement.

“The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority,” she wrote.
