Wednesday starts mostly cloudy and quiet, with temperatures in the low 50s early and a light north-northwest breeze. Feels like readings are a touch milder than the thermometer at daybreak, so it is not a bad start if you are heading out early.

By afternoon, clouds will break at times for some sun as the temperature climbs to a high near 63. Northwest winds will pick up to around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph, so it will be a breezy middle of the day. Rain chances stay very low at just 6 percent.

Wednesday evening turns calmer as the breeze eases and skies continue to clear. After sunset, temperatures slide back through the 50s. Overnight, the air turns chilly under mainly clear to partly cloudy skies, with a low around 41 by early Thursday. Rain chances remain near zero through the night.

The allergy index is led by tree pollen, which is very high today. Grass, mold and ragweed all remain low.

Thursday brings a high near 63 and a low around 46, with a mix of clouds and sun during the day. The better chance for rain holds off until Thursday night, when scattered showers become more likely.
