The Knights broke through in the top of the third inning. Civic Memorial committed an error that allowed the first run to score, and Auggie Bugger followed with an RBI single down the right-field line to give Triad a 2-0 advantage.

Triad added another run later in the game and never looked back behind Keller’s steady performance.

Chase Butler took the loss for Civic Memorial despite a solid outing. Butler pitched six innings, allowing three runs, only one earned, on five hits while striking out six and walking two.

Bugger led the Knights offensively, finishing 2-for-3 at the plate. He also drove in one run. Kade Rocca and Brody Hasquin each added an RBI for Triad, which also turned one double play defensively.

For Civic Memorial, Dane Godar, Brock Rust, and Jacob Flowers each recorded one hit in the loss.
