On April 16, 2026, Jersey County Board members approved requests for tourism grant funds from multiple organizations for various events coming up this year, including:

  • A $5,000 grant application from Pere Marquette State Park for the 37th annual Two Rivers Fishing Fair

  • A $5,000 grant application from the Jersey County Fair Board for a Fair Concert on July 11, 2026

  • A $15,000 grant application from the Jersey County Fair Board for Fair Week from July 14-19, 2026

  • A $1,000 grant application from the Jersey County Business Association for the Farmers & Artisan Market

Board Chairman Gary Krueger said each of these grants are the same as the amounts approved last year, aside from the Fair Concert grant, as there was no concert at last year’s fair. He said the Fair Board is hoping to make the concert an ongoing annual event at the fair, and that this year’s concert will feature Chris Cagle.

County Board members also approved an amendment to the budget for Fiscal Year 2026 to accommodate for a $50,000 donation made to the City of Grafton to support the National Memorial of Military Ascent. More details about the donation are available in this previous story on Riverbender.com.
