ALTON - Marquette Catholic's baseball team romped past Althoff Catholic 8-1 on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
Marquette exploded for six runs in the first to take control of the game, then added runs in the third and fifth innings. Althoff scored a run in the fifth inning.

The Explorers' Jack Rea had an outstanding game with three hits and scored two runs.
Eli Rodgers and Keller Jacobs had two hits for the Explorers. Toby Eberlin, Ethan Dempsey, and Joe Stephan added single hits for Marquette Catholic.
Jacobs pitched seven innings in a stellar mound appearance and only allowed one Althoff Catholic run.
Tyler Pollack had two hits for Althoff, while Evan Wiliamson also added two hits. Owen Keefe, Brock Nordstrom, and Carter Hansley added Althoff hits.
Marquette is now 3-4 overall and travels to Althoff Catholic on Thursday for another matchup against the Crusaders.
