The new, state-of-the-art facility is located on more than 100 acres and includes 100 doors, a heated dock, a snow scraper, a shop and advanced technology “designed to support operational excellence,” the company said. The Service Center is positioned at the Interstate 255 and Interstate 55 interchange, a location the company said will provide faster access to major routes, improve efficiency and increase capacity.

“This facility is 40 minutes from our St. Louis Service Center and together will support the growth we’ve seen in this market,” said Patrick Weale, the Collinsville Service Center manager. “We are excited for the added space and the opportunity to better serve existing and new customers.”

Dayton Freight, which is celebrating 45 years of business, said it provides supply chain services to “thousands of cities” within its network. The company said it operates 73 owned Service Centers and employs 6,000 people, and is ranked as the country’s 13th largest less-than-truckload carrier.

The company said it maintains “a standard of excellence” for customers with on-time, intact service. More information is available at daytonfreight.com.
