EDWARDSVILLE – Sophomore Elena Palioura from women's tennis has received Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week Honors after her performance at Drake March 6.

Palioura battled through sets in lifting SIUE women's tennis to a 4-3 road victory at Drake. Palioura defeated Drake's Shiori Takeda at No. 2 singles taking the first and final sets 6-2 for the team-clinching point.

The Prairie Farms Cougar of the Week Honors an SIUE student-athlete who demonstrated excellence in competition.
