EDWARDSVILLE - Senior Vivian Panico and junior Alexandra Hill battled through the IHSA Regional to earn spots in the IHSA Bowling Sectional, giving the Edwardsville High School girls' bowling team two qualifiers for the next round.
The Tigers' Hill finished 10th with 856 total pins, and Panico finished fourth with 985 pins to advance to the sectional. The sectional is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026 at St. Clair Bowl in O’Fallon, where Panico and Hill will represent EHS.

The two girls are Spencer Homes Female Athletes of the Month for EHS.
Tigers girls bowling coach Deanne Voegele said both bowlers elevated their play at the regional to advance.
“Senior Vivian Panico and junior Alexandra Hill really turned it on at the IHSA Regional,” Voegele said. “Both girls wanted to move on to the sectional, so they battled hard.”
Voegele said she was “incredibly proud of the fight that both girls showed, never letting up.”
Voegele also cited the bowlers’ sectional scores, saying, “Vivian's sectional score was 919 for six games, and Alex had a score of 820.”
