Silvey’s milestone added to a résumé that includes multiple climbs up SIUE’s record lists. In 2024-25, she held the program record for best free-throw percentage in a season at .950 (19-20).

Macy was a shooting guard from Edwardsville High School, where she helped the Tigers make a deep run into the state playoffs, averaging 11.4 points and shooting nearly 40 percent from three-point range as a junior.

Macy comes from a family of star athletes. Her sister, Mackenzie, was a Southern Illinois University-Carbondale standout and her dad, Jeff, played baseball for the Cougars (1995-96).

A social media post from Northside Dairy Haven was heartfelt and congratulated Silvey, saying: “Congrats to our very own gem, Macy Silvey, on scoring over 1,000 points for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's Women's Basketball. We love you, Macy Moo!”
