BUNKER HILL – Bunker Hill captured its first regional boys basketball championship since 1999 on Friday night, Feb. 27, 2026, with a 53-26 triumph over Carlyle at Bunker Hill.

Bunker Hill now plays Jacksonville Rout Catholic at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Nokomis.

The Minutemen were ahead 21-8 at halftime.

Bunker Hill's Cole Yates led all scorers with 21 points, Bryce Yates had 13 points, and Carter Beck had 6 points. Peter Jarden had 4 points, and Jake Spencer had 3 points.

Dean Throne, Brennan Fulton, and Ben Manar added 2 points.

Bunker Hill now stands 24-7 overall.
