“She had an amazing year,” Reiseck said. “She improved a ton. She took off almost 2 minutes off her best time.”
Hemmer has been named a BJ’s Printables Female Athlete of the Month for the Knights.
At the IHSA Class 1A Regional at Trenton-Wesclin in 2025, Hemmer ran a personal-record 20:43.6 for three miles to place 19th. She later finished 64th in the IHSA Sectional at Trenton-Wesclin on Nov. 1, 2025, with a time of 21:19.4. Hemmer also placed 21st at the Granite City Robinson-Lang Cross Country Invite, running 22:31.4.
Reiseck said Hemmer will be part of the distance crew for the Metro East Lutheran girls' track and field team in the spring of 2026.
