After high school, Kennedy plans on attending college to become an English teacher – and is already taking steps to prepare himself for his career as an educator.

“After deciding to pursue the path of becoming an English teacher, he started coming to my classroom during his own time (study hall) and helping me with my credit recovery English,” English Teacher Sara Casselman said. “Brandon is an all around wonderful young man with a strong character.”

Casselman spoke highly of having Kennedy in class over the past two years. She noted his academic journey from Applied English to Honors English and even Public Speaking Honors, where he has excelled as a leader among his peers.

JCHS Principal Thomas Leslie added: “I was Brandon's middle school principal and now have the honor of being his principal at JCHS. I have witnessed first hand a transformation in him as a student, athlete, and all around leader among his peers. He has goals and is working hard to reach them!”

Congratulations to Brandon Kennedy for being selected as a February 2026 Medford Wealth Management Student of the Month for Jersey Community High School!
