EDWARDSVILLE - A local nonprofit invites community members to “Sip and Shop” while supporting cancer patients.

From 1–4:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2026, Stridin’ and Survivin’ will host their biannual vendor fair at The Hall in Edwardsville. Attendees can shop with nearly 40 vendors and enjoy drink specials. The event raises money for the Stridin’ and Survivin’ mission to support cancer patients with care packages, gas cards and more.

“We are looking really good for March 1,” said Alice with Stridin’ and Survivin’. “Our mission is to raise awareness and funding for cancer research and patient services…We’re ready to get some more funding and be able to keep going with that.”

The organization is still accepting vendor applications for the March 1 event. Interested vendors are encouraged to contact Stridin’ and Survivin’ to inquire about space.

Alice and Angel, who oversee the nonprofit, explained that they will welcome bakers, crocheters, printers, t-shirt makers, and plenty of other vendors and businesses. They want a wide variety of products so people can enjoy the shopping experience.

There will be hourly attendance prize drawings, as well as two special drawings at the end of the event. Vendors have donated items valued at $30 or $75 for the nonprofit’s upcoming dinner fundraiser in April. If you shop at a vendor who donated a $75 item, you will receive a ticket for every $10 spent. These tickets will go into the drawing for a Vera Bradley bag or a Pampered Chef set.

The first 50 attendees at the Sip and Shop event will also receive a swag bag. Alice and Angel encourage people to come throughout the afternoon to enjoy the event, but they suggest coming early if you want to secure a swag bag.

The Knights of Columbus will host their monthly barbecue on March 1, so attendees can enjoy a meal before or after they shop. Alice and Angel thanked the KCs for their support.

As a nonprofit, Stridin’ and Survivin’ donates blankets and care packages to local cancer centers. They also send out gas cards to patients across the U.S. They gave away almost 100 gas cards last year through their Fuel the Cure program, and this initiative is growing.

“We always need donations for that. We’ve been bombarded since Jan. 1,” Angel said. “They could always go on the website and donate on there.”

The organization works hard to be there for cancer patients locally and across the U.S. Organizers Alice and Angel expressed their appreciation for the community’s support as they gear up for their vendor fair.

If you are unable to attend the Sip and Shop on March 1, you can still support Stridin’ and Survivin’ at their official website. For more information about the vendor fair, click here.
