BOYS BASKETBALL

TUESDAY'S GAMES

ROXANA 66, GILLESPIE 19: Roxana led at the half 33-15, outscored Gillespie in the second half 32-4, and went on to win at the Gillespie Pit.

Sean Maberry led the Shells with 26 points, while Aiden Stemm added nine points.

Roxana is now 18-8, while the Miners go to 2-22.

O'FALLON 80, CAHOKIA 59: O'Fallon led Cahokia 33-24 at halftime, and went on to win at the Cahokia gym.

Jayden Dancy led the Panthers with 20 points, while Ben Akoro hit for 12 points, Sutton Massey had 11 points, and Eddy Jackson scored 10 points. Taven Miller led the Comanches with 20 points, while C'Narri Griffin came up with 16 points.

The Panthers are now 7-15, while Cahokia is now 8-13,

BELLEVILLE WEST 77, MASCOUTAH 46: West led all the way in a big win at the Mascoutah gym.

Micah May led the Maroons with 27 points, while T.J. Cason IV came up with 21 points, and J'Dyn Lloyd added 13 points.

West is now 15-8, with the Indians going to 16-9.

COLUMBIA 91, ST. LOUIS SUMNER 48: Columbia took a 58-21 halftime lead in going on to win at home over Sumner of north St. Louis City.

Eddie Smajic had a big game for the Eagles with 31 points, while Kyle Chubb came up with 16 points, Brody Landgraf scored 15 points, and Elliott Nelson had 12 points.

Columbia is now 21-4, while the Bulldogs go to 11-13.

In other games played on Tuesday, Piasa Southwestern won over East Alton-Wood River 47-10, Calhoun won over Concord Triopia 60-45, Edwardsville won over Staunton 48-43 in overtime, Marquette Catholic defeated Belleville Althoff Catholic 56-44, Sparta took a 63-61 win over New Athens, Trenton Wesclin defeated Highland 73-60, Waterloo got past Red Bud 61-53, Breese Central won over Triad 47-33, and Breese Mater Dei Catholic beat out Salem 64-58.

WEDNESDAY'S RESULTS

METRO-EAST LUTHERAN 53, PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 45: Metro-East held a narrow 21-17 halftime lead, and went on to the second straight win, taking the game at Southwestern's gym.

Reed Campbell, Cason Robinson, John Kunz, and Carter Bacon all scored eight points each for the Piasa Birds, while Trenton Brackett hit for seven points.

The Knights are now 6-14, while Southwestern is now 12-13.

In other games played on Wednesday, St. Louis Cardinal Ritter College Prep Catholic defeated Granite City 58-34, Sparta won over East Alton-Wood River 73-28, and Hancock, from south St. Louis County got past Valmeyer 73-48. the game between Collinsville and Mary Institute-Country Day School of Ladue, Mo. was postponed due to illness in the Kahok team. A make-up date will be announced.

CAHOKIA 49, ST. LOUIS CONFLUENCE PREP ACADEMY 43: Confluence Academy of St. Louis 25-17 at the half, with Cahokia outscoring the Titans 32-18 in the second half to come back for the win on the road.

Dakota Bell led the Comanches with 14 points, with Mi'Thalia Carraway added 11 points.

Confluence is now 1-6.

BELLEVILLE WEST 52, EAST ST. LOUIS 20: West took a 35-10 halftime lead at home and went on a Southwestern Conference win over East St. Louis.

Javonni Winters led the Flyers with eight points, while Lynajah Smith added seven points.

The Maroons are now 5-18, while the Flyers go to 2-18.

GRANITE CITY 36, COLLINSVILLE 23: Granite City led at halftime 29-15, and went on to the win over Collinsville at Granite City Memorial Gym.

Tyhlee Simms led the Warriors with 13 points, while Jailynn Rae Woods hit for eight points. Karly VanDyke led the Kahoks with nine points, while Darlanna Morris hit for four points.

HIGHLAND 62, JERSEY 54: Highland took a 32-20 lead at the interval, then went on to the Mississippi Valley Conference win at the Highland gym.

Jordan Bircher led the Bulldogs with 25 points, while Sophie Schroeder scored 13 points. Cate Breden was the top scorer for the Panthers with 20 points, while Meredith Gray had 18 points.

Highland is now 17-11, with Jersey going to 10-10.

CHATHAM GLENWOOD 48, TRIAD 37: Glenwood led all the way through in their win over Triad at Rich Mason Gym.

Kenzie Becker led the Knights with 16 points, while Erica Boyce scored nine points.

The Titans are now 20-4, while Triad goes to 16-10.

BELLEVILLE EAST 59, EDWARDSVILLE 28: East led at the intermission 24-15, going on to the Southwestern Conference win over Edwardsville at the East gym.

Gabby Cook was the top scorer for the Tigers with 10 points, while both Kennedy Gieseking and Laila Roundtree had six points each.

The Lancers are now 22-4, while Edwardsville is now 11-12.

In other games played on Tuesday, Alton won over O'Fallon 68-58 in overtime,

Civic Memorial won at Litchfield 70-49, Winchester West Central defeated Carrollton 54-42, and Franklin South County took a 42-33 win over Carlinville.

WEDNESDAY'S RESULTS

GRANITE CITY 49, MADISON 8: Granite City led backyard rival Madison at the half 25-3 in going on to take the road win at Madison.

Simms led the Warriors with 18 points, while Taliyah Sykes added 17 points.

Granite is now 18-8, while the Trojans are now 3-14.

FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 48, COLLINSVILLE 19: McGivney led at the break 25-10 in taking away the win over Collinsville at Vergil Fletcher Gym.

Layla Tobin led the Griffins with 14 points, while Elle Willenborg added 13 points.

McGivney is now 22-6, with the Kahoks going to 6-20.

In other games played on Wednesday, Waterloo Gibault Catholic defeated Red Bud 66-35. Dupo nipped Bunker Hill 42-36, Marissa-Coulterville won over Steeleville 51-28, Pleasant Plains won over Civic Memorial 52-42, Belleville Althoff Catholic won at home over Mascoutah 57-39,, Petersburg PORTA won at Carlinville 49-32, Mt. Sterling Brown County took a 64-34 win over Greenfield Northwestern, and Hardin Calhoun won over Piasa Southwestern 38-25.
