ST. LOUIS — St. Louis will host matches for the LA28 Olympic Football (Soccer) Tournament at Energizer Park, city officials announced Tuesday morning.
Mayor Cara Spencer joined Diego Gigliani, president and general manager of St. Louis CITY SC; Marc Schreiber, president of the St. Louis Sports Commission; and Brad Dean, president and CEO of Explore St. Louis, at the Michelob Ultra Club inside Energizer Park to reveal the city as one of seven U.S. sites selected for the tournament.

The announcement came on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at Energizer Park, located at 2019 Market Street in downtown St. Louis.
“This is a moment to celebrate together! We are a soccer town to our core, but the Olympic Games transcend, uniting us as Americans, sports fans, and citizens of the world,” Spencer said. “The LA28 Olympic Football (Soccer) Tournament will showcase the absolute best of St. Louis!”
The 30-acre Energizer Park, home to the professional soccer team City SC, will be known as St. Louis Stadium for the duration of the Olympic Games. The site is the largest urban professional sports campus in the United States.
Spencer noted that the 2028 Summer Olympics mark the return of Olympic competition to St. Louis, which hosted the Games in 1904.
“While a few things have changed since then, we know that these Games will showcase the absolute best of our city! People will be travelling from around the world to our great city to experience our food, our culture, and our community. We can’t wait to welcome them!” she said.
The mayor also expressed gratitude to the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games team for selecting Energizer Park as a venue.
“Sports bring us together and every four years, we pause and celebrate. In 2028 our city will have a lot to cheer about!” Spencer added.
