O’FALLON, IL. - Salon Ludic and Extension Lounge, an O’Fallon-based small business, is giving back to the community it calls home. Through monthly SLAK Campaigns, Salon Ludic Act of Kindness, small businesses in O’Fallon, and the surrounding area, will be chosen at random as the recipient of a Salon Ludic Act of Kindness.
For each monthly Act, Salon Ludic will purchase a $200 gift card from a small business, which will be used for its own customers until the money runs out. A cup of brew from a local coffee shop, two dozen donuts from an area bakery or play time at a neighborhood children’s center; regardless of the recipient, $200 towards customer purchases is gratuitous, compliments of Salon Ludic. Natasha Downs says, “Our salon has been a small O’Fallon business for a long time, and we want to be a bigger part of our community.” Downs adds, “Philanthropy is something our team is passionate about, and we feel our monthly SLAK campaigns are a great way for us to say, ‘Your purchase today is complimentary and it’s on us! You get to save some money, and we get to give back through random acts of kindness.’” SLAK recipients will be selected and notified by the Salon Ludic Marketing team each month.
