“Our interns play an incredibly important role in helping us connect with constituents and ensuring their voices are heard,” said Senator Harriss. “Each year, our interns are actively engaged in the community, assisting at events, supporting outreach efforts, and helping our office better serve the people of our district.”

Interns will work directly with constituents through a variety of community outreach initiatives while developing valuable communication, research, and problem-solving skills.

Students interested in applying or seeking additional information should contact Haden Jones, District Operations Specialist, at hjones@sgop.ilga.gov or call 217-782-5247.

This is a paid internship, and students may be eligible to receive academic credit in accordance with their university’s guidelines.
