EDWARDSVILLE - Madison County Clerk & Recorder’s Offices will launch a new text messaging service, TextMyGov, on Feb. 5, 2026, to provide residents with timely notifications and easy access to information. The service aims to enhance communication by allowing residents to receive updates on election dates, deadlines, reminders, and more directly via text.

Andreas, Madison County Clerk & Recorder, said the adoption of TextMyGov reflects the office’s commitment to implementing modern solutions that improve service delivery. “Our use of this technology is another example of how the Clerk and Recorder Offices enhance services by implementing 21st-century solutions,” Andreas said. “We’re excited about this new way of communicating with residents and look forward to sharing important notifications with you.”

The county joins other government entities nationwide that have successfully used TextMyGov to keep residents informed.
Andreas said you will also receive a contact card for their two-way texting number. Save this to your phone and text it to quickly find information with just a simple text. Even though this card is sent from number 80946, the number you are saving is 618.693.2112.
