ROXANA – The Roxana High School girls basketball team routed Madison in the consolation bracket of the 51st Annual Lady Hawk Invitational on Tuesday night.

It wasn’t much of a game, Roxana handily taking care of the Trojans 81-8.
The big reason for celebration wasn’t just the win, but a milestone reached by senior Daisy Daugherty.
She poured in 21 points, leading her team. But that’s nothing new.
That game put her at 1,347 career points, breaking the all-time program record that stood for 11 years.
Maddy Sheraka, a 2015 Roxana grad, previously held the record at 1,345 points.
For her accomplishment, Daugherty is a Midwest Members Credit Union Athlete of the Month for the Shells.
Daugherty and her team continue play in the Lady Hawk Invite on Friday, January 30 at 5 p.m. against Calhoun.
