GODFREY - ABS Workout Plans will host their third annual health fair next weekend.
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, community members can stop by ABS Workout Plans at 620 Armsway in Godfrey to chat with vendors, tour the gym and learn more about different wellness regimens. Abby Thurman, owner of ABS Workout Plans, can’t wait to engage with the community and promote health and fitness.
“I think the New Year’s resolutions are starting to die down a bit, but it’s still good to get healthy. You still have another shot,” Thurman said.
There will be 12 vendors at the fair on Jan. 24, including Busy Body Meals, Fitness for the Soul Massage, and Just Right Organizing. Two estheticians from Brush will be present to talk about the facials and injections they offer, and The IV Drip Station will have an IV on-site for anyone who wants to give it a try.
A doctor who specializes in hormone therapy will be present, as will a magnesium butter vendor and a permanent jewelry vendor. All of the vendors will be giving away an item or an experience to a few lucky winners, so Thurman encourages people to stop by and talk to every table.
As a business, ABS Workout Plans offers 12 classes a week ranging from weight-lifting to pilates to HIIT workouts and more. Their earliest classes start at 5 a.m. and the latest classes start at 6 p.m., so they can accommodate you no matter what your schedule is.
They have several deals available, including a class pass and a punchcard. Both offers emphasize affordability. Their location also has a small gym area, and they can provide 24/7 access to members via a key card.
“It’s just a good variety, but it’s also a smaller atmosphere where you don’t feel so overwhelmed,” Thurman explained. “My idea is easing people into a comfortable atmosphere where they feel like it’s more realistic and approachable for their goals.”
If you prefer virtual workouts, ABS Workout Plans has partnered with a company to offer online training with personalized workouts and nutrition plans. Thurman herself customizes your workouts.
They also have an in-body scan available for their members and visitors on Jan. 24. This scan will break down your body fat and muscle mass into percentages so you can see what you need to target.
Thurman hopes many people come out to the fair on Jan. 24 to see everything ABS Workout Plans has to offer, as well as the other vendors who aim to help you improve your health. It’s important to Thurman to help people navigate their wellness journeys, and she personally engages with most of the vendors who will be present. She hopes people benefit from the fair.
“I’m just excited that everyone gets to come together and just be there and just work together. We all offer our own service in our own way, and we’re just willing to help,” she said. “We’re all together, so you can hit up each one, talk to each one, and just listen, because sometimes you might start talking and realize, ‘Okay, I actually do need this but I didn’t know what it was.’ You always have this perceived understanding of what you think this is, and then you go and you talk to this person and you’re like, ‘Oh, okay, I could actually use this. I actually need this.’”
