Both teams found more offensive rhythm in the third quarter, but Marquette maintained control, closing the period with a 26-14 lead. Carrolton outscored Marquette 8-6 in the final quarter but could not overcome the deficit.

Marquette coach Whitney Sykes Rogers praised the team’s effort and depth. "It was a big win for us tonight and the fact we were able to play nine or ten kids was a bonus. This is a hard place to win and I'm proud of them," she said.

Rogers also highlighted the defensive efforts of Laila Davis. "Laila Davis did a fabulous job on keeping track of Driskill. We had plans for all their actions but she still had to guard her and she did amazing," Rogers said.

Marquette was led offensively by Allie Weiner with 10 points and Laila Davis with six.

Carrolton’s top scorers were Hayden McMurtrie with nine points and Chloe McAdams with seven.
