BOYS BASKETBALL
FATHER MCGIVNEY CATHOLIC 50, WHITE HALL NORTH GREENE 42: McGivney went on the road and came away with a win at North Greene's gym.
Carson Barone had a big game and led the Griffins with 22 points, while Owen Kolesa had 17 points, and Landon Hall scored 11 points.
McGivney is now 11-6, while the Spartans go to 4-8.
In the two other games played on Monday, Breese Mater Dei Catholic defeated Litchfield 56-39, and Hardin Calhoun won over Gillespie 59-18.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
COLUMBIA 60, ROXANA 38: Columbia jumped out to an 11-2 lead at quarter time, then led at halftime 28-15, and went on to the Cahokia Conference Mississippi Division win at Larry Milazzo Memorial Gym.
Addison Dewilde led the Eagles with 16 points, with Ava Mathews adding 14 points, and Riley Bahr coming up with 11 points.
Columbia is now 11-5, while the Shells go to 7-8.
GRANITE CITY 49, BELLEVILLE WEST 27: West led at the end of the first quarter 12-10, but then Granite shut out the Maroons in the second quarter 12-0, outscoring West in the middle two quarters 29-3, to take the win at the West gym.
Malone Grady led the Warriors with 15 points, while Tyhlee Simms hit for 12 points, and Jailynn Rae Woods scored 10 points.
Granite is now 10-4, while the Maroons are 4-10.
PETERSBURG-PORTA 36, CALHOUN-BRUSSELS 31
Petersburg-Porta topped Calhoun-Brussels 36-31 in a girls' game.
Sadie Kiel led the Warriors with 10 points, Anna Eberlin added 8, and Braylnn Lammy had 5 points.
JERSEY 40, PIASA SOUTHWESTERN 38: In a close game throughout, Southwestern led at the break 17-15, but Jersey rallied to outscore the Piasa Birds 25-19 to pull out the win at Southwestern's gym.
Meredith Gray led the Panthers with 15 points, while McKenna Brunaugh had seven points. Leading Southwestern was Grace Williams, with 13 points, while Kora Slaten had eight points.
Jersey is now 10-6, while 9-8.
CARLINVILLE 52, LINCOLNWOOD 30
Ruthie Reels had 22 points for Carlinville in a 52-30 win over Lincolnwood. Kaitlyn Reels added 12 points for the Cavaliers.
Eldridge had 12 points for Lincolnwood.
In other games played on Monday night, Waterloo Gibault Catholic won over St. Louis Visitation Academy Catholic 48-25, it was Marissa-Coulterville defeating Dupo 51-18 in a tournament opener at Chester, Carlyle took a 54-35 win over Red Bud, and Gillespie won over Hardin Calhoun 46-39.
